Although Black Friday is annually celebrated nationwide, the day after Thanksgiving is technically not a federal holiday, but a state holiday in some states. Therefore, the hours of restaurants, fast-food chains, and coffee shops may vary on Black Friday.
Chains such as McDonald’s and Starbucks are likely to be open on Black Friday and will probably follow regular hours. For the fast-food chains that are open, many are celebrating with deals for free or discounted food and drink. Check below for our list of where to get cheap fast food on Black Friday 2019.

Is Black Friday a holiday?
The day after Thanksgiving is considered a state holiday in the following states: California, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia.
If you live in one of these states, your local fast-food restaurants may open with modified hours. If you’re planning on visiting somewhere like McDonald’s or Starbucks on Black Friday, be sure to check with your local store to see if they are open as usual.
Residents of states where the day after Thanksgiving is not a holiday should be able to visit any fast food restaurant on Black Friday 2019.

McDonald’s
From now through December 2, customers can order McDonald’s from UberEats with free delivery.
