2019 is a fortunate year because the upcoming Black Friday PS4 sale coincides with a preexisting tidal wave of hype surrounding Sony’s next console, the PlayStation 5. And, whenever stores catch even a whiff of a new console, they realize the horrible truth: they need to sell as much stock of the current console (and its games and peripherals) because sales will drop to almost zero once the new console hits shelves.
